Julie's Bridal Shower

This past weekend my sister-in-law Kara and I threw our "soon-to-be" sister-in-law, Julie, a bridal shower. We had so much fun and a lot of people came. My mom and Julie's mom even came out from California for it, very nice touch to have the mom's there :). Julie and Blake met a long time ago in our home ward in Lake Arrowhead, CA. Julie's mom and my mom have been really great friends since they moved to the mountain and had no idea one day their kids would be getting married. Blake and Julie are getting married May 1st in the Los Angeles Temple and we are very excited for them...and a nice relaxing trip to California, the day after finals :)
Here's a few pics from the day.

THE Hair Cut

Logan had been growing his hair for a year, quite a long time. He had decided like George Costanza, from Seinfeld, wanting to get married on the first day of Spring (Logan's all-time favorite TV show) to cut his hair that day as well- "You know, Spring! Rejuvenation! Rebirth! Everything is blooming all the--" George Costanza. So finally the time came and thanks to Logan's mom...my handsome husband has a nice new haircut.

Though it may not look like it...he is very happy with his new hair cut!

Some things I love and some things that make me laugh...

So I was looking through my cell phone this evening and found a ton of pictures that I either love or pictures that make me laugh. I have had my same phone for almost two years now and there were more pictures then I thought on there, but I won't share them all with you, just a handful. The quality isn't that great because they are all from my phone...enjoy.

My lovely In-N-Out uniform (minus the apron)! And the tiny locker room to get changed in for work :)

Logan's Halloween costume from 2008-his wig is a mullet, it was pretty hilarious, plus his tight black jeans. classic.

I read the book "The Secret Life of Bees" this past fall and I took a picture of a section I really liked. You can't read it so I'll type it out for you.
"You know some things don't matter that much, Lily. Like the color of a house. How big is that in the overall scheme of life? But lifting a person's heart-- now that matters, the whole problem with people is."
"They don't know what matters and what doesn't?"
"I was gonna say, the problem is they know what matters, but they don't choose it"

My wedding dress, I'm still in love with it :)

This hilarious picture of Lola last summer, she kept putting on my dad's glasses and I got her with a silly grin on her face. Hilarious!

Concert with Clarice, especially Keith Urban!

My green shirt...I only got to wear it twice and then it somehow got bleach on it, sad day.

This beautiful sunset, I was driving home from work one day and was amazed at how well my cell phone camera got the view!

Holding Lola when she was only a few days old, so precious.

The day Logan proposed, June 6th, 2008-the same day Lola was born and one of the best days of my life :)

Let's Dance

Lately, especially since 2010 started, I feel like time is flying by quicker than ever and it kind of freaks me out. I was telling Logan the other day how I wished time would slow down. When I am so busy I want time to slow down but when I wasn't working or in school this past summer all I wanted was for time to go faster. In my institute class we have been talking a lot about the Second Coming and I can truly feel it getting closer, especially with how I've been feeling about time. Part of me wants to quit school and just spend as much quality time with family as possible but then I remember how much I need my education (and how I don't have that much longer!) and it keeps me going each day. I guess what I have learned from the way I've been feeling lately is that I want to truly enjoy each day rather then dread school and work all the time. I am trying to see the good and exciting part of work and school. I don't think I have ever been this busy in my life, it's been good for Logan and I though. We both cherish the time we have together since it isn't a lot of time each day. Luckily I do not work Sundays so we have that time to spend together and with family. I really like the lyrics of a song I've been listening to lately, it reinforces my desire to enjoy each day and be grateful for the many things I am learning in my life right now...

Baby, hold my hand
Show me you're my man
Take me to that land
Where we can get crazy
Cause this old world gets tough
When I've had enough
I need to know your love
Will be here to save me, save me

Let's dance while the lights are shining bright
Let's dance while the music's feeling right
Romance till the night is through
You'll be holding me
Yeah, and I'll be holding you
Let's dance

Wanna feel your touch
You know I love you so much
Maybe with a little love
Our world will turn slower
Cause we've been moving so fast
Seems life is flying past
Can we make this moment last
I wanna remember, remember

Let's dance while the lights are shining bright
Let's dance while the music's feeling right
Romance till the night is through
You'll be holding me
Yeah, and I'll be holding you
Let's dance
Oh, let's dance

Oh, baby just say yes
I've got this brand new dress
This night could change our lives forever
Yeah, let's dance
Oh, romance till the night is through
You'll be holding me now
Yeah, and I'll be holding you
Let's dance
Yeah, let's dance
Baby, baby, baby let's dance
Oh, hold me, love me, show me baby
Baby, let's dance
