Halloween Festivities

FYI there are a lot of pictures in this post! My oldest brother, Zac works for Adobe and every year they go OVER THE TOP with Halloween. There are 3 huge buildings and each building has a bunch of teams in it, each team gets a theme and that's where it all starts. They decorate the entire office with their theme and get some pretty wild costumes. Some teams even brought gravel and sod into the office, and another team built a waterfall, it was pretty crazy. Zac and Kara invited us along with Blake and Julie to the party on Friday afternoon.

Duck Hunt-this building was all about games, my brothers team did battleship and everyone on his team dressed up as sailors, it was pretty funny.

Lola loves the Shrek movies right now so she had to get a picture with Shrek

this section of one office was all about breakfast cereals, nice face Blake ;)

A week ago we carved pumpkins at David and Natalies house, we had so much fun! This picture is about a week after we made them so they don't look very good. Logan's on the left was a silly smily face and mine on the right was a witch on a broom.

And last night for Halloween we went over to Blake and Julies. We made homemade pizzas, decorated cupcakes and watched a Harry Potter movie.

Blake's silly face with his silly ninja turtle cupcake

my lumberjack husband, his cupcake was a tree stump with an axe in it

Oh Nathan...his cupcake was a snowman in springtime!

I made a mummy

I loved these cupcakes, Blake is holding Frankenstein and a pumpkin, David is holding a pumpkin and Natalie made a really cool spiderweb. (sorry Natalie about David's face!!)

These were a good part of our cupcakes, we had a lot of fun with this.

Julie (Hermoine-is that how you spell it?) and Brenna (a super cute Giraffe!)

David-didn't dress up-borrrring!! JK, Nathan wearing his costume from Disneyland when he worked at the canoes, Logan and Blake. They were trying to be in character, pretend Logan is holding an axe.

Happy Halloween!!!

Maddox

My brother Ryan and his wife Lani had their little baby on September 22 and I could hardly wait to see the little guy. Ryan came up to Utah for a job interview and I was expecting only him to come. But when he got up here he called me and said "Dresden walk out to the car I have something for you." So I didn't really think much of it but when I got out to the car he opened the door and there were Lani and Maddox!! Such a fun surprise, sadly I was very sick at the time and couldn't even hold him. Luckily they stayed most of this week so by the end I was well enough to hold him. And it was fabulous!! It's so fun to hold a newborn. Maddox is such a good baby he rarely cries and just stares at you. So congratulations again Ryan and Lani, you've got the cutest little boy in the world :)

AND all in the same week I found out I am going to be an aunt AGAIN! Congratulations Zac and Kara on the new baby you will be bringing into this world sometime in May (I think), Lola is gonna be such a good older sister!

Lola and Maddox-Lola did pretty good holding him and giving him lots of kisses but when he'd cry or get fussy she'd get a little scared :)

Last Summer Vacation

Last weekend Logan, Blake, Julie and I met my parents in St. George for a little vacation. It was supposed to be my entire family, but my oldest brother Zac just started his Master's Degree program at UofU and Ryan's wife is about to have a baby. I guess they had good excuses not to come ;) Luckily we found out that Sand Hollow Lake in St George is an awesome lake to go to so now the whole family can go there another time. Through my high school years my family vacationed in Laughlin every summer, it has been awhile since we did that so this trip to the lake was very exciting. I LOVE being at a lake, I am not an ocean/beach girl in any way, I love knowing there are no sharks in the water I am swimming in!
Logan's parents were coming down for our brother in laws demolition derby so they came a day early and spent the day at the lake with us. It was fun having them there and we're glad they made it!

Logan and I looking very lovely after a long day at the lake

Our niece Presley loves the water, I had just tried water skiing ( I didn't get up unfortunately, it's been a few years since I last did it) so when I was about to get out Presley decided she wanted to swim with me.

Blake & Logan both jumped off this cliff

This picture was taken right after we set up our day camp, notice how Logan is not sunburned? Well he got fried that day!

Logan's parents joined us for the day and brought this water weenie...
it was definitely the hit of the day.

Logan, Blake, Lorri, & Lynn

Almost everyone who went, Brandi & Presley joined us later
in the day for a couple hours of fun

(of course the times I went on I didn't get any pics, I promise I did go :))

Tough Guy ;)

Well Friday was a wonderful day on the lake but we were not up for another day. Saturday we spent the day driving through Zion's National Park and relaxing before the demolition derby. I've been craving Mexican Food for about 2 months now and finally I got to have it. We ate at a delicious Mexican Restaurant just outside of Zions, finally got my fix!

Me and Logan

We stopped at one point because there was a whole
family of these guys, so cool!

Our brother in law Roudy was in a demolition derby on Saturday in Hurricane. He has been working on his car for a year now so we were all pretty excited to go. This was my second demolition derby, if you can call the first one that-it only had 4 cars in it! It was a lot of fun, the trucks were our favorite by far because they went a lot faster and hit harder. Good time overall!

This is Roudy in his car just started out in the derby

Sadly Roudy's car didn't last very long...here it is being dragged out of the arena

finally an update for July

So it's been awhile since I last updated, we've been busy with work and enjoying the warm summer weather we've had. The end of June we went to my In-N-Out store picnic at Seven Peaks Water Park. I had never been, I'm not a huge fan of water parks-germs, but we had a good time none the less. It was a bit overcast which was nice cause we didn't get sunburned but it also made the water feel a bit chilly!

A week or so later we spent the Fourth of July in Salina, Logan's hometown. We spent a lot of time with family and did a lot of things I don't usually do on the 4th. We had the traditional lunch BBQ at Grandma Robins' and watched the parade from her front porch. I found out at the parade that I really like salt water taffy-at least the chocolate ones and the blue ones (blue raspberry?)! After the parade we went to the rodeo, my first one might I add, and watched the fireworks right above us from the bleachers. It was a great 4th :)

A week later I hoped on a place to California for my friends wedding. I've know Savannah Robbins since she was in her moms belly, in fast I used to sit on Debbies lap and laugh when Savannah would kick! Her dad is my dad's business partner so we've been really close for a long time. I decided last minute to go but I am SO glad I went. I got to spend a little time with my parents alone and enjoy the beautiful weather in Lake Arrowhead. I love Lake Arrowhead!! It is so relaxing and quiet up there...it is missed for sure.

My dad's beautiful pond, the mint smells so good!
