Last weekend

Happy Birthday Nathan! Last weekend a bunch of us went out to dinner for Nathan's b-day. I was lucky enough to convince Logan to get dessert, and not just any dessert, my favorite dessert! Chili's Molten Chocolate Cake! YUM! Anyway we had a great time spending Nathan's birthday with him and watching him open all the funky presents he got from David & Keith.

When we went to St. George for Halloween we made a quick stop on the way back. We stopped in Cedar City to grab some food and to walk around for a bit. The picture below is a statue of my great great great great grandma (I think that's enough great's), Ellen Pucille Unthank, at the SUU campus in Cedar City. She crossed the plains as a young girl and got frost bite on her legs. She later had to have them amputated at the knee, she spent the rest of her life walking on her knees. Such an amazing pioneer, she is one of my heroes.

This weekend we're going to the Coldplay concert we've had tickets for since JULY! Holy moly it's finally here...woohoo!! We'll post some new pics cause the fam is all up for the concert. We love you Ryan and Lani and wish you were here with us.

Updates

It's been awhile since I've updated our blog. I was waiting to get pictures so I could post them with this and it took longer than expected, sorry :)
So for Halloween Logan and I got all dressed up and drove to St. George for the play Thriller at Tuacahn. Logan was an 80's rocker decked out with a black mullet wig, tight tight ripped black jeans, a t-shirt, and a fabulous jean vest. He was pretty rockin! I was a devil's angel. See I wanted to be an angel but then I saw a red wig and I kind of had to go the opposite direction. So I got some red wings and wore all black with my wings and red bob style wig. I'm not gonna lie, we looked ridiculous but we had a great time. My wig made me look like I was about 12 and Logan looked like he was totally comfortable being a rocker! We met my parents at Outback for some yummy steak then drove up to Tuacahn for the play. Tuacahn is in a canyon, so rock walls surround you, it's beautiful. We stayed the night down there and visited Logan's sister Brandi and her husband Roudy and of course...cute little Presley on Saturday before heading home to Provo.
Lately we've been busy getting ready for school next semester. There is so much to do, it's crazy. I've had to fill out an incredible amount of forms to apply for residency, I wish it weren't so hard! But in the end, my tuition will be less than half the price, so it's worth it.
We're going to a Coldplay concert with my family next Saturday and we cannot wait!!
We're also excited for Thanksgiving, we get to spend the day with Logan's side of the family down in St. George. Plus we get to eat all day, who could ask for more?!

Wedding Photos

We haven't quite gotten the CD of pictures from our wedding to post and share with everyone. So here is the link for our wedding slideshow our photographer put together. The password is Dresden. Be sure to capitalize my name. We have to pick a certain amount for our wedding book so feel free to comment and let us know what your favorites are. Enjoy!

Oh what a fun weekend...

So we've both been wanting to see that new movie Flash of Genius and interestingly enough, it was at the dollar theater. I guess it didn't do that well in the big theater but anyway...we saw it! It was pretty good, a little long but the story is really good.
Saturday morning I got up and worked for a few hours and then we ran a ton of errands.
My work, NuSkin Enterprises, has a huge convention every year and they always get a famous band to come and play at the convention. As employees we got two free tickets and this year it was the Goo Goo Dolls. So Saturday night we drove up to Salt Lake and watched them play. It was so much fun! They are excellent live and really involved the audience. It was a private concert for only NuSkin distributors and employees, so there weren't that many people there. It was great. Here are a few pics from the weekend.

The Weekend

Friday night we went up to Salt Lake City with Blake, Nathan, & their friend Marin. We met up with David, Natalie, Keith, Amanda and two of her friends. We spent some time up there just walking around Trolley Square & The Gateway. After that we went to dinner at Iggy's...yum! It is a fabulous restaurant, if you get a chance to try it I'm sure you'll like it. Here is a picture of two of our best friends-Blake & Nathan at our reception in Salina.

Saturday we just kindof hung out for the day and then Logan left for Salt Lake to play the guitar with some old buddies. He was gone most of the day so I hung out with Blake for awhile. When Logan got back we ate some dinner and later got some Slurpee's-my fav!
Today, Sunday, was a really nice day. We went to church and both got new callings...surprise...we're Nursery teachers. So now we get to spend two hours each Sunday with little kids. Oh boy! We've got a long work week ahead of us but we thought we'd let you all know what we did this weekend. Have a good week everyone!

My new obsession!

There is this new store in Orem and I have wanted to go to it ever since I saw they were building it. The name alone caught my eye, "Sunflower Farmer's Market." So on Monday Logan and I decided to check it out. Oh my goodness.....I will no longer show anywhere else! I am not all crazy about eating straight organic food, but they do have some great food. It's true to it's name-farmer's market. All their fruits and veggies are fresh, so fresh you can smell them through the store. Their prices are very good, expensive on some things, but the basics are priced very well. I know there are a few of these markets in Arizona and only a few in Utah. So if you get a chance to check it out I promise you'll love it. I even went back today because I was off early and I wanted to get a good look at everything they have there! It also has a nice environment, it's not huge like a grocery store. It's very relaxing and actually enjoyable-cause we all know grocery shopping isn't always fun ;) When we left Logan commented "wow that was nice, it wasn't loud and obnoxious like a grocery store." They also have really good deals on Wednesday's. So just for me, take your next boring Wednesday evening and spice it up with a trip to Sunflower Farmer's Market. Enjoy! Check out sfmarkets.com for good deals.

I've given in...

I decided to start a blog...and Logan agreed. We've been married a month and are just loving it! We were married in the Los Angeles Temple and are so grateful for all the family and friends that were able to make it to our wedding. It was a perfect day with beautiful weather and it was topped off with a perfect reception. We honeymooned in San Francisco, it was cold but we had such a fun time. I'd show you pictures but I left my camera charger there so it's dead! We had a second reception in Salina (Logan's hometown) at his parents house-it was so beautiful. Logan's parents have an incredible backyard full of my favorite thing...flowers!
We are finally healthy and happy. We've been happy since the get-go but healthy is another story. I was sick for two weeks straight with a cold and a flu. Followed by Logan getting the flu. So as you can imagine, it's taken us forever just to get our cute little apartment all put together. But it's coming along and we are healthy again.
This last weekend we were busy, busy, busy. First it was Salina on Thursday for Bridger (Logan's best friend) and Courtney's open house. Friday morning we went to their sealing at the Mt. Timpanogos Temple, it was so cold outside taking pictures, brrrr.... On the way to the luncheon at Magleby's we stopped at Zac and Kara's and picked up my adorable niece Lola. We got to babysit her for about two hours and show her off to everyone at the luncheon. After about an hour of resting we headed to Bridger's reception in Salem, Ut. It was beautiful and Logan looked so handsome in his brown tuxedo. The day was long but great. We got to share the special day with the happy newlyweds and some of Logan's old friends. All in all-a great weekend.
Last Friday we got to do a session at the Manti Temple. What a gorgeous temple! I was so excited to go there and as soon as we got there I was totally overwhelmed. If you haven't seen a picture of the temple go look it up now! It's amazing and looks just like a castle.
Now that we've started a blog you'll all know what we are up to. Take care!
